My dad used to pole vault back when he was in high school. He still has his old pole. According to him, that pole is responsible for helping him cinch the semi finals for his school. Sadly, he had to sit out of the finals after damaging his ankle during soccer practice. He claims his school would have won if he had been allowed to compete.
